Guideway hole patterns

Unless specified otherwise, the guideways have a symmetrical hole pattern, Figure 1.

Upon request, an asymmetrical hole pattern may be available. In this case, aL ≧ aL min and aR ≧ aR min.

Hole pitch values

The hole pitch values jL are stated in the dimension tables. For high loads, guideways are available with reduced hole pitch values jL, Figure 2.

These guideways have the suffix
Addition to the designation, consisting of letters and/or numbers, for example, it may indicate variants of a series
E or EE; examples: LFS..-E, LFS..-EE.

Maximum number of
pitches between holes

The number of pitches between holes is the rounded whole number equivalent to:

The distances aL and aR are generally determined by:

If the minimum values for aL und aR are not observed, the counterbores of the holes may be intersected.

Multi-piece guideways

If single-piece guideways are not possible, guideways LFS can be assembled from matched and marked sections, Figure 3.

Two guideways LFS can have a deviation from each other at the joint of:

  • Δa =±0,01 mm
  • Δh4 = ±0,05 mm, Figure 4.

Guideways without holes

All guideways LFS are available without holes, with the exception of LFSR. These guideways have the suffix
Addition to the designation, consisting of letters and/or numbers, for example, it may indicate variants of a series
OL, for example LFS..-OL.
